Congratulations to Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation for taking home 1st place in the 11th Annual Lions Club Chili Cook Off! Foundation Board Member Eric Collins lead the team to victory with his famous Rock-a-Billy Chili! Eric not only lead the Foundation to its first ever championship, he also took home a second award for Fan Favorite!
We are pretty proud of this team of chefs! Foundation Executive Director Jodie Huston prepared her scrumptious cornbread that paired perfectly with Eric's chili. Board Member Jodi Price blessed our taste buds with the most beautiful and tasty cake pops ever. Board President Allison Bruflat had our taste buds doing a little jig with her delectable brownies. Of course none of this would be possible without the creative genius of Board Member Cathy Wansing and her remarkable skill at creating social media images and flyers.
We want to send a HUGE Thank You to the Lions Club for hosting this event each year. They put so much love and hard work into raising money for weekend meals for students. Funds raised from this event are shared equally between our Foundation's Caring About Nutrition (CAN) program and Belton Educational Foundation's BackSnack program.
Go ahead an make a note in your calendar for next year. While we don't have a 2025 date yet, you'll want to set a reminder in January 2025 to keep an eye out for the announcement.
We can't wait to showcase our team's skills in 2025!
